There are very few Superhero Duo’s out there that everybody can name by heart: The wonder twins, Scooby and Shaggy, QuailMan and QuailDog, Micheal Jordan and Scotty Pippin, and those two who were named after that bat and bird… but all fall short of the majesty that is the new Case Mate Pop! case for the iPad 2. Ok… maybe we are overselling a little bit, but this iPad case is pretty sweet and pulls double duty. Check it out after the jump!
Like all good superheros, the Case Mate Pop! has duel identities: it is both an iPad case, and an iPad stand. Sure, I know what you are thinking, there’s about 1,000,001 other iPad/stand combos out there, so what is it that makes this case exciting? Well let me tell you…
The Pop! case is constructed from two different materials, inside is a soft grippy rubber that holds your iPad securely in place, while keeping your iPad lifted away from the actual case surface by about 3mm or so. This added space adds a lot of shock absorption from unexpected drops and impacts. The hard plastic shell on top of the rubber makes it resistant to scratches and dents and adds even more protection. Your iPad is held tighter inside this case than a superhero in his spandex pants. The classy and shiny colors add a lot to the super cool styling of this iPad costume… erm… case.
The grippy rubber also extends to the edges of the case, which makes it easy and safe to hold the iPad while playing games. We don’t feel like the tablet is going to jump out of our hands at any given moment while playing games. The only thing we would have liked to see different was to have those rubber grips on all four sides of the iPad, so when it is being held in portrait mode it would have the same safe and secure feeling.
An iPad Case That Really Pops!
Additionally, the Pop! case comes with a built in stand on the back which will hold your iPad up at a perfect viewing angle in either portrait or landscape mode. This helps a lot when couch surfing on the iPad, or sketching a new masterpiece with the iPad in my lap.
All in all, this is a great case constructed from very high quality materials and put together in a way that will last for a good long while. Gamers, artists, and anybody who is not a fan of the folio style iPad cases will love the Pop! Made in three different colors: Black, Pink, and White there’s a case for any wardrobe. Check out the iPad 2 Pop! Case with Stand available for $49.99.

I am absolutely in love with my new POP case! It is everything I wanted and more. Fit’s my iPAD2 perfect unlike other cases I have tried. The best part in my opinion is that the POP case covers all of the edges of my iPAD, and has a soft rubber lining around the front just encase you drop it. It is protected on all sides. I have already had 2 complements on my case. I would recommend this case to all of my friends and family with iPAD2.
